Overseer Reuben Berry, Jr. is an intelligent and visionary leader with a strong commitment to serving the people of God. He has been a faithful servant of the Lord since being saved as a teenager, and has dedicated his life to ministry since accepting the call in 1985. In 1993, he was ordained as an Elder and Pastor of Lighthouse AOH Church in Gary, IN, and was soon elevated to the esteemed office of Overseer for the state of Ohio.
Under Overseer Berry’s leadership, Lighthouse AOH Church experienced tremendous growth and many lives were transformed by the good news of God’s love and saving power. In 2008, he followed God’s plan by establishing and incorporating Compassion Ministries International Church where he currently serves as founder and pastor (Markham, IL). Through his faithful ministry, countless individuals have been saved, delivered, and miraculously healed.
Overseer Berry’s commitment to education is evident in his own academic pursuits, as he holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at National University.
As a devoted husband of over 35 years to his wife, Minister Carol Berry, M.D., and a loving father to their adult daughters and son-in-law, Overseer Berry embodies the importance of family and faith in his personal and professional life.
